Education and Training for the Integral Age:
How should Who Teach Whom to do What?
Dr. Don Beck and The Spiral Dynamics Group are proud to present
this
8th Annual SDi Confab experience - a 7-day program of dynamic
certification
SDi training, interactive learning, and meshWORKING with
some of the finest
veteran minds and groups in the global SDi constellation.
During the first three days, as in the past, Dr. Beck will deliver the rich, in-depth SDi Level One foundations training. Utilizing a number of different media forms, from colorful graphics to illustrative music, actual case studies, and video tapes, this packed, fast-paced training event exposes newcomers to the often life-altering experience that is Spiral theory.
The 2007 Spiral Dynamics Confab, over the course of the following four days, serves as the global gathering of ‘ Spiral Wizards’ and ‘Spiral Wizards in Training’ ~ as well as all teachers, trainers, coaches and counselors who want to explore cutting-edge theory and applications in Integral education and training.
The Confab is designed around the theme ‘Education and Training for the Integral Age: How should Who Teach Whom to do What?’ – an action-oriented workshop based on systemic 7 th Level (Integral) problem-solving techniques that have been field-tested around the world.
The Confab’s focus of exploration will be:
What is Integral Education, Training, Coaching? What are its unique characteristics, capacities, styles, skills and tools? How does it differ from First Tier educational intelligences? What are the life conditions and problems of existence that it will have to resolve? What are its ethical codes, personal motivations and life priorities? What challenges must it overcome? How can Integral educators be recognized, developed, trained and motivated? How can we best enhance this guidance intelligence in schools, colleges, companies, organizations, communities, cultures, countries and in other human groupings?
How can personal trainers and coaches best develop Second Tier skills in their clients? What are the kinds of learning activities, personal practices and interpersonal relationships that can enhance this insight and skill in individuals across all organizational, professional, and cultural domains? How can Integral formulas be used in matching personal trainer/coach to client, and client to profession, job and situation?
Programs, Projects and Activities:
The 2007 Confab will combine main attractions such as formal presentations with unique additional experiences including ‘Live Wire’ tele-interviews and small group project activities along the various learning streams – all punctuated by a variety of imaginations for the future, food-for-thought, and elixirs for the mind.
This Confab will also launch the Shirley Schwaller Memorial Lecture on Spiral Dynamics and Spirituality, in remembrance of a truly gallant and dedicated human being and SDi veteran who brought grace and dignity into so many of our lives. Dr. Jean Houston will tele-deliver this first annual commemorative lecture.
Among the many other presenters will be the dynamic master coach Mike Jay, CHE-Netherlands leader Peter Merry, Dr. Bruce Gibb, and trainer Mark Fabionar of Esalen.
